It’s been a long long time since I’ve raved about a dress, so if there has ever been a time to listen to what I say…. This is it!! 

If I was asked to think up my dream dress I would ask for a midi length to hit just below my knees, I would want sleeves, either shirt sleeves or ¾ length. I would want a material on the heavier side so it’s not blowing all over the place and so that I wouldn’t have to wear a jacket. I would ask for fun prints because obviously!
I would want a skater shape because that’s what I like the most on my body and I like the casual look. I would want pockets, again because OBVS. I would want it to be affordable because I would want at least a few and most importantly I would want it to come in a large range of sizes because there is nothing worse than finding a dress you absolutely love and then learning they don’t make it in your size. 

I have found that dream dress!!!!

So many times I’ve found really nice dresses and have said it’s so great but I wish it was… (insert any issue here). I can genuinely say there is nothing I would change about this dress and to me that’s a miracle. 

Topsy Curvy have recently released a range of tea dresses that are in group sizes, initially I was dubious because I usually wear a larger size than its labelled but they were very kind and sent me a dress to try and I’m so glad they did because the dress fits beautifully! It’s a Jersey material and has stretch under the bust. It’s not tight on me anywhere at all and there is ample room for large boobs which is an issue I sometimes find with skater dresses seam cutting across my bust. I wear a 36 and sometimes a 36/38 and this dress, like I said, fits like a dream.

What makes this my dream dress?

I love that the fabric is a little on the thicker side so it will be perfect for Autumn and Winter, especially if you don’t like layering. I can’t wait to wear these dresses with boots and a denim jacket. There are many prints to choose from at the moment and even more on the way. I’m secretly hoping for some solid colours at some point as I would love to add more of these to my wardrobe as staples. I am someone that prefers to wear tights or leggings with my dresses but this one is such a great length that I can go with or without and still feel comfortable.

I love that we can see the dress on different size and shape bodies and against different skin tones and even hair colours. That’s another huge reason I love Topsy Curvy, if you look at their website and their Instagram you will see so many different looking people, sizes, races, physical abilities, you name it. Representation is so very important and this brand recognises that and showcases every body and that’s the dream.

I really don’t know what else to say besides I’m obsessed with this and will 100 percent be getting more of them.
