Your Look is the only Look that really Matters!
We seem to under an almost constant bombardment of media reports about fashion these days, ranging from puff pieces designed to sell new season lines to the latest news from the celebrity world. No wonder some of us find it more than a little difficult to keep up with opinion. In the long term, though, this confusion can be a good thing.
There are too many women around the world, and a lot of men as well, for that matter, who place far too much importance on the opinions of others. When you get ready for a night on the town or even a walk in the park, you should always keep in the mind the fact – the indisputable fact – that the only opinion that matters is yours.
If the media says you shouldn’t be wearing purple and you want to wear purple, then wear your purple with pride. That’s the bottom line that we all need to be aware of in the 21st century, a period of time in which many of us seem to be getting ever more celebrity obsessed. Follow this advice and we will avoid getting lost to homogeneity.
Be the one at the party that REALLY gets noticed
When you’re getting ready to party on a Saturday night, remember your desire to make a statement. This is a time when you really want to dress to thrill.
Nobody wants to blend into the background on a night out, of course, so make sure your look is the one you want. Personal tastes and individual styles are what make us what we are, so find something that is able to match your mood as well as your personality. Life is too short to live in a drab, grey world.
It goes without saying that some girls will want to stand out more than others, and this again is a question of personality. Making a statement doesn’t have to mean shouting loudly from the rooftops to a waiting world. Some statements are of course more subtle than others, and yet they remain just as powerful and just as bold.
There are times when you can be forgiven for thinking the world is losing its diversity, and that we are gradually becoming an indistinct mass of people and places. High streets and shopping malls look the same and even our TV shows and movies say the same things. Let’s not add to this by looking just like everyone else looks.
